That's why, on October 9th, we engaged in two impactful community initiatives, each contributing to the betterment of the areas we call home.
In San Jose, CA, we collaborated at the Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT). We created STEAM activity kits, priced inventory, and organized donated items. Many thanks for lunch provided by El Viejon Mexican Food Truck. RAFT's mission is to enhance children's learning experiences through hands-on education, helping bridge educational gaps in our community.
Also in Wilmington, NC, we joined the Good Shepherd Center's Sgt. Eugene Ashley Memorial Center. We cleaned shared spaces and worked on landscaping, accommodating everyone, including those with limited mobility. The Ashley Center provides homeless veterans a safe place to transition to permanent housing, with a remarkable 92% success rate.
